| M. Carol Fox, President, Columbia Gas of Maryland and Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania M. Carol Fox was appointed President of Columbia Gas of Maryland and Pennsyvlania July 1, 2009. In her role as president, Carol will be responsible for designing and executing legislative, regulatory and external affairs strategies and delivering safe and reliable customer service to more than 445,000 customers in two states. Prior to this role, Carol served as senior vice president of Customer Engagement for NiSource Inc.'s Gas Distribution Segment, where she lead the commercial activities for large commercial and industrial customers, distribution company new business activities, the residential, commercial and industrial gas transportation programs, and had responsibility for customer contact centers and meter to cash organizations for NiSource’s local distribution companies located in Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, and Massachusetts. Fox began her career with Columbia in 1983 as a customer service representative in northeast Ohio, serving in a variety of progressive roles before being elected vice president of Sales, Products and Services, for Columbia Gas of Ohio in 2001. Since that time, she has served in a variety of leadership positions throughout the company. Fox holds professional memberships with a number of associations such as the Ohio Gas Association, the Association for Iron and Steel Technology., the American Gas Association and the Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals. | Danny G. Cote, General Manager, NiSource, Inc. Distributions Operations East Danny G. Cote currently serves as General Manager, Distributions Operations East for NiSource, Inc. (NYSE: NI). In that role, Mr. Cote oversees field operations, measurement and regulation, corrosion, leakage and construction services for the distribution systems that serve over 610,000 customers in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Prior to assuming this role with NiSource in 2004, Mr. Cote served as General Manager of NiSource’s New England operations and also as Vice President of the New England operations. He was responsible for overall leadership and direction for the operations areas of the company. These responsibilities include oversight of gas distribution, customer service, plants and system regulation, facilities and engineering in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. He started in the natural gas industry in 1972, when he joined Northern Utilities as a draftsman and engineer. Throughout Mr. Cote's career, he has served in a variety of industry roles, including: Chairman of the Board for New England Dig Safe; Chairman of the Northeast Gas Association's (NGA) Operator Qualifications Task Force; and has served as a member of the American Gas Association's Construction and Maintenance Committee, NGA Operating Board, the Society of Gas Operators and the New England Guild of Gas Managers. |
