Know your appliances

Questions you may want to ask the qualified professional who inspects your natural gas appliances:

• Do my appliance connectors need to be replaced?
• Do any of the appliances you checked have a pilot light? Are there any concerns I should be aware of?
• Is my natural gas equipment venting properly?
• Is my natural gas equipment in an appropriate location?
• Do my natural gas appliances have safety shut-off mechanisms (e.g. space heater, furnace, etc.)?
• Is there corrugated stainless steel tubing on the property? If so, is the corrugated stainless steel bonded properly?
• Is my water heater set to operate according to the manufacturer’s instructions to avoid scalding?
• How often should I change my appliance filters?
